Why we decided to blog.

Thank you for joining me on this new adventure. I figured as this is our first post I would give you a little background information on myself and my family as well as why we decided to give blogging a try.

First, a little about me. I am a wife of a wonderful, hardworking husband, and two amazing sons. My husband and I have been married for three years now, but have known each other for over ten years. We met working at a haunted attraction that raised money for a few different charities during the Halloween season.

When my husband and I tied the knot I not only gained a husband but also gained our oldest son, Little A. I have been in Little A’s life since he was an infant as I was friends with his father. Then in August of 2015 we had our second son, M, via c-section due to pregnancy complications, and our family grew.

Up until the day M was born I was working full time as was my husband. At this point our oldest was still in public school so we could work during the day while he was at school as long as we were home to get him off the bus. He is now home schooled so I have both boys 24-7. Once I gave birth to M I was stuck in bed for some time so I was not able to work.

My husband around the same time was offered a job which much better pay. Then soon after he accepted the job and we sold our business that job fell through and we were both without any form of income.

My husband, after a few months was able to secure a position as a car salesman, which is where he is currently working. He is also working on some online schooling to sell insurance.

I have been on the search for something I could do from home or at least with my two sons in tow to bring in some more income to help get us caught up on the bills that did fall behind during the period with no income. I have tried a handful of different things but so many seem to just be scams or something you put so much time into but barely get anything back.

In my searches I kept coming across people who were either quitting their jobs to blog or using it as supplemental income. At first I thought this was just more of the same, but then I decided to look into it and it surprisingly looked promising. So here I am starting this blog. Now I am not holding my breath that I am going to be rich from blogging, and i figure if the money-making portion flops I do enjoy writing and sharing all the things I find interesting with other like-minded people so it will be a win even if I don’t make any money.

I hope you all enjoy our posts. I am excited to share my interests and insight with you all. Something I would like to get going is to have a few people I know who are professional cooks to share some recipes with us for you all to try.

Thank you for visiting,
